【Objective】 To investigate the ovarian function of reproductive age stewardess who work in ordinary trains and high-speed trains
to explore the effect of electromagnetic radiation in high-speed trains on female reproductive endocrine system. 【Methods】 100 stewardess were selected randomly and respectively from normal trains crew and high-speed trains crew in Guangzhou Railway (Group) Corporation
receiving women?蒺s health questionnaire
checking serum E2
FSH
LH levels and B-ultrasound for ovarian volume and antral follicle count
related data were statistically analyzed by age and working time. 【Results】 The menstrual status
hormone levels
B-ultrasound results between two groups were slightly different
but there was no statistical difference. All results of stewardess in high-speed train were within normal range
showed no statistically significance by different working time. 【Conclusion】 Electromagnetic environment in high-speed trains and different degrees of exposure to electromagnetic radiation did not affect ovarian function of stewardess. A more strict and a large sample of epidemiological studies should be designed and conducted due to the existed confounding factor. Or the results should be further proved through animal experiments.
